This is the best place for homebrewing.
Hello, and welcome to Homebrewing Place. My name is Jeremy Kersten. I’m glad you found us. This website was created by myself to share the love of homebrewing. My intent is to post pictures and videos of my current homebrewing projects, lessons?, tips, recipes, and supply accessories. I got started homebrewing in about April or May of 2015. Immediately prior to that i was drinking craft beer often and really on a kick of trying new beers. Well naturally, to me anyways, I began to get really curious about what made each of these beers so different. That led me to research a little more the ingredients that go in to making each style of beer and then one things just sort of leads to another. I have herd it been called “Getting bit by the beer bug.” Ha, ha, ha. So true it is. I found a local homebrew supply shop that was offering beginner homebrew classes for $20 so I signed up, learned how to brew a 5 gal partial mash, rack to secondary, and bottle. I happen to have a bunch of Amazon.com gift cards from my job, like $600 worth. So I bought a 5 gal starter kit that included most of my beginner equipment. You start off small, make some questionable beer first, then learn from it, do it again, learn form it, do it again, get better, get better, and get better. Oh, and did a mention spend more money? Yeah, homebrewing isn’t free. BUT it’s way less expensive to drink great tasting homebrews of any style vs. going out and purchasing a 6 pack, 4 pack, bomber, or growler of any local national, or internation beer. Not that there’s anything wrong with that! I totally support and encourage you to drink your local town or city’s beer. Homebrewing, is just that much better though. I mean, c’mon, YOU made it! Your friends will be impressed, your girl or man will be impressed, and you will have had fun gettin’ a little buzz off your creation. Thanks again for visiting and cheers!
